Electrastar have now completed a project to terminate and test 1600 fibre Optic ends. The London based project consisted of 25 cross site cable links for a key client. The 32 core cables, consisted of a mixture of Singlemode and Multimode fibres using ST and SC terminations.
The client's specified testing parameters meant that every core had to be tested bi-directional and also dual wavelength. These parameters resulted in a staggering 6400 tests that had to be carried out on site(3200 OTDR & 3200 dB Loss). The 6400 test results were turned around into an electronic format 
(PDF) and accepted by the client in just under 3 days of the projects completion!
