6/10/2008  Data Centres proving a key market for Electrastar
Electrastar has seen a substantial rise in Data Centre projects in 2007. The rise is around 150 % on 2006 figures.

In simple terms, a data centre is a facility, room or building used to house computer systems and their associated equipment. They incorporate telecommunications, backup power supplies, data storage systems, data communications connections, air conditioning and fire suppression.

4/17/2008  Electrastar take the plunge in Marine Exploration
Electrastar’s client specialises in salvaging cargoes of commodity-grade metals lost at sea using the specialist salvage vessel, Deepworker. The client bought one of the largest archives of 20th century shipping losses containing records of 234 shipwrecks and their cargoes including wrecked ships from the First and Second World Wars. The vessel itself carries out salvage operations in some of the world's deepest oceans.

Networking Basics is the first of the four courses leading to the certified network associate (CCNA) certification. CCNA 1 introduces networking academy students to the network field. Sales Manager Andy Massey started the course back in September 2005 and will complete the first module by February 2006.

8/10/2005  Electrastar Help Manchester United To Score At Home
Electrastar have now completed a fibre optic termination project for Manchester United Football Club. A number of 4-core fibre optical cables have been terminated and tested for the running of the digital scoreboards throughout the stadium. Electrastar worked in partnership with the main contractor, JDC Cabling who work with various Football Grounds throughout the country.

5/31/2005  Electrastar Goes Splice Crazy.
Electrastar have now completed a project to terminate and test 1600 fibre Optic ends. The London based project consisted of 25 cross site cable links for a key client. The 32 core cables, consisted of a mixture of Singlemode and Multimode fibres using ST and SC terminations.
